Vice President of Public Affairs
Joe Quinn joined The Aluminum Association as Vice President of Public Affairs in July 2013. In this role, Quinn is responsible for the overall direction and execution of legislative, regulatory and communications initiatives in support of the association’s advocacy and promotion.
Quinn is currently leading the Association’s external relations efforts, including the Congressional Aluminum Caucus, new website and social media activities, media relations, and federal policymaker engagement.
Prior to joining the Association, Quinn spent eight years at Edelman where he led public affairs and corporate reputation programs for Walmart, Toyota and the American Petroleum Institute, among others. Quinn has 14 years of experience managing and implementing strategic communications campaigns, positioning clients favorably with key opinion leaders to advance policy initiatives, and providing crisis and issues management counsel for clients facing contentious issues.
Before his tenure at Edelman, he spent three years as Managing Director at Xenophon Strategies. Quinn began his career at Ketchum. He received his B.A. in Journalism and Mass Communications from the University of South Carolina.
